1982

In Febuary of 1982 I moved in to Medford for the first time. Lived with Room mates out on Kings Hwy. It was Ok. It was Party time for sure. When I first moved into this House. Chuck was the Main Renter. And I rented from Him. He had this nice old Car. Black 1957 Chevy Belair.
Tim Rowen was the other Renter. He was ok. He was about 10 Years older then I. Tim left. moved down in Calif somewhere by April. Never saw Him agine. And then I Broke my Ankle in May of that Year. And Had to go through a lot of stuff to get back on the road agine.
Yeah. Chucks old Chevy was a real Head Turner. But It had a lot of Problems to. I learned a lot about Cars while living there. And I learned a lot about my self to. I really think God kind of arranged for me to live there for that 2 year Period. I did learn alot.
In this final Picture of Kings Hwy. There is my very first Car. The old Green thing at the far right of the Picture. Its up on Blocks Here. I dont think I ever was able to get it running. And then my Second Car. The Blue one that the Dog is jumping out of the drivers side window. that car did run ok. It was all Wrecked in The Front. but it still Ran ok. Shortly after this Photo I packed up and moved back home to Jacksonville. for a while. to get back on my Feet agine.
These Next Three Pictures really Belong in the Previous Year. We saw some of them there with my Motor Cycle. The first two are Lilly Praire. A very Nice Place High above J'ville. Nice View. Just a Peacefull Place. Often times while I was living out on Kings Hwy. I would think of this Place High in the Mt's and Long to be there. Often times Life was not going very Smoothly at the House there on Kings Hwy. All the Partying. The People coming and going. And exspecially when I was recovering from my Broken Leg. I just wished I could be back up there.. In the last Picture Here. We see the big Hill Climb. We allways called it "Strawberry." I look at that now and can not beleve I rode Motor-Cycles up and down that steep Hill Once apon a time. Crazy...

Here I have a couple of Packing House Picures. Probably these 3 pictures belong in the Previous Year as well. These are taken in the Main engine Room. The first one is The only Remaining Compressor From when the Building was Built in 1929. The second Picture is of The two compressors Now in Operation. And the Third Picture is of The Little Electric Cart I Used to get around the Propertie.

Uncle Fred & Aunt Ginger Had came down from Portland to spend some time With Grandma Hale. Seen Here out front Of Grandma's Little Apartment on Royal Ave in Medford. GrandMa Died in 1985, Fred Died in 1999, And Aunt Ginger Died in 2008. I Miss Them...
This is a Girl Named Sharon. I met Her very Early on in 1982 at the Kings Hwy House. I Guess at a Party we were having there. She was alot of Fun. And Kept comming back for more. She was Not Old enough to Drink. But Here She sits in My House with Her Bottle of Beer. Oh Man I should have gotten in so Much trouble a Couple of Dozen times for doing such things. GOD was Watching out for me during those Years of Foolishness. And HE kept me from getting in really bad Trouble. However. You Reap what you Sow. And all My foolishness has cost me Plenty. I wish I could go back and change it all. Have a second Chance at those Younger Years.
