This was a Un-planned Picture taking Day. I was just on My way back home from Ruch Early on a Saturday Morning. I just liked the way the Sunshine was Lighting the Town up. We Start out parked Next to The Museume. A Place I have been in Many Many times in My life. But apparently is NO longer open.? In this first Picture we see The old And I think Catholic Church there along Old Stage. The Only Time I have been in there Was to Attend "Omar Cary Culy's" Funeral in 1986. Turning around now We see My old Nissan And the Museum. Also The Mustard-Seed-Resturant is Pretty busy this Morning.

Now I'am getting ready to cross 5th Street. Lets take a look at the Museum from The Front. When I was a Little Boy growing up here in J'ville. I used to dream someday I would be RICH enough to buy the Museum and make it into my Own House. Nice thought I Guess. Probably could not afford the Heating Bill anyway.

Here is the McCully House. This place has changed alot in the last 30 Years. It used to just be someone House. And We see the old Jacksonville Lumber yard Not to far away from the McCully House.

This is The Old Orth-House. Way back in the 70's This place was just an old abandond falling apart decreped old House. Now look at it. When I first got The internet back in the 90's. This was the First Web-Page I ever saw. Its funny Now they dont have there own Web-Page that I could find. And then looking the other way down the street. We see the Back of what used to be the J'ville Tavern. Been some Changes there too.

The Old City-Hall on South-Oregon-St. Its still in use by the Town.
Now I have walked a few Blocks down North-Oregon-Street. We are on D-Street Now. This is just an old small little Cabin that Has been around since before I was Born. Its Part of the same Propertie as the Big-Barn in the Next Picture.

Here is a Nice old Place. It was The Scheffeld House back in the 70's. There Gone now. And as You can see it is up for sale. Here is a few other Pictures of The area.

Here is The Jacksonville-Fire-Department. This used to be a volunteer Station. I dont know Now.? I Remember The old Fire-Whisle well.. I used to be able to hear it clear down here in Medford.
This House here was lived in by The Langos back in My Childhood years here in Jacksonville. We were allways told this was the very first House in J'ville. I dont know.? It does have a Rock Foundation. So it is old. But the First.? Who Knows.? And Here is one of the Churches here in town.

Now We come to a House that Has a lot of History for me. The White-House in this Picture is on.? I dont Remember what Street.? Possibly this is North 4th.? If We keep walking down this Street. After the Next intersection we will be behind what Used to be Vanweys Market. Now Rays. Back in the 70's We knew the Kid that lived there. Joe Johnson. He and My Brother John whent to school togather. Later on in His High School Years. Joe Got into some Alcohol. got into a Fight with His Girl-Freind. And Ended up Commiting Suicide in the little Garage that will see in the Next Picture. Sad. I wonder if He really understood just what He was doing.? A few Years later on I would be come good Freinds with The New People that would live there. Guy David Costa. Was one Year ahead of Me in School. We got to be good Freinds. His Nick-Name was "Tono" Costa. He had come up here with His Mom to live from Santa-Cruz California. As soon as Hight School was over He whent back down there to Live and work with His Dad who was some sort of Record-Producer. Well anyway. I lost track of Him. I have made a few Attempts to find Him on the Internet along with some other people I have lost track of. However. I dont know exactly how to spell His name. Oh Well. will keep searching. (somewhere on that side walk You should beable to find "joe Johnson" wrote in the wet cement from the late 1960's)

Now I'am down across from the Parking lot of Rays-Food-Place. The House You Might be able to see in this Dark (sorry) Picture is the House that The Hartman Brothers lived in when I was a little Boy. It was there Parents House. But they had died earlyer on. I do have Pictures of there Family Plot somewhere in This Album. I Cant beleve I didnt get a better Picture then this. Well You know. I'am NOT the Brightest Knife in the Drawer.
Now I have walked down towards the old High School. Stoping here for a Picture with The Museum in the Background.
Here is My old Elementty School Grade 4th 5th 6th. Wow this Place has changed a lot over the Years. It is Now Bigham-Knoll. NOT sure what that is. Even at this time of Morning there are People there. I Really wanted to walk around the Propertie and Check it out. But I felt a little funny about that. Sence I dont even know what the Place is. So I just took a few pictures from afar.

Well I have came almost full Circle now. I started more then a Hour ago on the South side of The Museum. And Now I'am on The North side of The Museum on the way back to The Car. Lets look around here. The Museum area was a Place I used to hang out a lot at when I was growing up as a Kid. There Used to be more Trees on The Museum Grounds. I Wish I Could find Pictures of what it used to look like. It even used to be Fenced in where now only The little Wall Remains around the Grounds. Notice all the Brick-Chiminnys on the Roof. Must have been a lot of Wood Stoves in there once upon a time. And The Top of The Building. I have allways wanted to cimb to the Top and look out the Windows up there. No Public access.

Still Standing here on D Street. Way at the End of this Street. Is West D St and Our old House. We see Here far a head The Cemetery Hill And The Flag Pole. I know this is Strange But If I Zoom My Camara in I Should beable to see our Family Plot up there on Top of The Hill. Ok Lets try it.

Here I'am along the North side of the Building. Right here in this exact spot back in the Early 1970's I used to come here and hide along the Building under the cover of the Trees. (now Missing Trees) And Exsperiment with Smoking Ciggarretts. Many times I would leave this area very sick and Promise my Self Never agine. But I would see My Dad and others Smoking each day and Apearing to Enjoy it. So I kept comming back here time and agine Exsperimenting in My little Hiding Place. I had a few of those back in Those days. I wish I could go back in time 37 or 38 Years ago. But this time. Ask GOD To come into My life. Well its all worked out. Thanks to The LORD.

Here I'am at the Front of The Museum Grounds. There is What Remains of the Wall that en-circles The Museum. The Horse & Rider You see Has NOT been there to long. A few Years I Guess.

Across the Street from The Horse & Rider Is this Nice little Church. Its allways Been there.
Now. We Move on to a few Pictures that I somehow manage to get taken out of order. It happens. Here is a Photo I found in the Window of the US-Bank in the Heart of The Town. It looks like The Depot Next to the Post office.? I sure dont know.? There is NO information to Go with the Photo.

Here I'am at the old-Arco-Gas-Station with My old Statue Freind Frank Carter.

And in this final Picture We see the Top of Museum from the Arco-Parking-Lot. And what remains of a Jet haveing just flown by...
