I Felt really good on This Morning. I had not decided on Where I would be going
for a Hike on this Day. We have been having bad Weather for Quite a few Days.
And I was Not sure what was going to be happening this Day. After My Early-Morning
Church Service was over. I decided to go give Roxy-Ann another Try. I Failed in My Attempt
Two weeks Earlyer. The Weather was Cold and Cloudy. Somewhat Stormy. I was Scheduled for
A Job Interveiw on this Morning. That didnt take Place. I was Bummed. Needed to go Hike My
Bummness off. Lets get started. The Gate is open today. And Truck traffic will be up and down the road today.
I took off walking and I didnt stop untill I got to the Corner of the Road.
From here on I would lose sight of the Parking area. I Felt really good. I was
Sure I would make it way past where I had to stop 2-Weeks ago. And I was Hoping
The Clouds and Fog would burn off soon and go away.
Continuing up the Road now. Not a whole lot to see because of the low
Clouds. And they were moving around Pretty Fast. Here we see a Bunch of
Ice-Cicles forming from the Running water comming out of the Culvert-Pipe.
Someone Put a Nice Bench up there on the Hill side. Behind that We see
The Top of Roxy-Ann.
Well I have made it to the Place I had to stop and turn around the last time.
Yaaahhh. Feel really good. And Ready to Press on. Like I said at the beginning
of the day. We have some Truck-Traffic up here today. There is a Gravel-Pit
off to the South of this area. And the Trucks have to use the Road. However
they will not be going to the Prescott Park area. That is where I will be
Heading.
In these Next two Pictures We see one of the Trucks comming up the Hill.
Also I dont know if I talked about it in My last trip up Here.? Many Years ago
while hiking up here somewhere between where I'am at NOW and the Top of the
Mt. I found a Huge Block of Cement built into the Ground. I Remember it had
At least one and I think two Metal Doors that when Opened would go down inside the Ground.
this Block was as big as My Car. I never forgot about that find. And Have allways
wondered what that was. Just moments after leaving this little area today. I
Would stop and Talk to a Older guy that I had talked to Breifly down at the Parking lot.
He was Now on His way back down the Hill. I asked Him about the Big Cement Block.?
He Said "Yes there are a few of those up here" He does not know why.? or what they are.?
He allso told me this area was Used as a Military Base of somesort back in the
W-W-2 Years. I had considered that before. Well I wanted to kind of look for that today.
Not sure just where it was at. somewhere between here and the Top. Well lets Press on towards
the Prescott-Park-Area.
Now its a short walk of a 1000 feet or more to the Turn off road to the left.
That is the Yellow gate road. It will take us up to The Park. We can see
Mt Ashland to the South through the Trees.
Lets walk Past the Gate now and begine the Walk up the Granit-Road.
Somewhere to the Right of this Picture is where that Big-Cement-Block should be.?
It's been a long time But it is still Pretty Clear in My Mind. for now
Lets go up to the Park. I have been on the Trail about an Hour now. As You can see the
Weather has NOT Cleared out any. Infact I think It has gotten worse. And in
the Last Picture Here We see a Truck going down the Road I just came up.
Also way across the Valley You Can see a Cone-Shaped-Peak. That is Mt Isabelle.
I will be going back there in a just a few short Days to Make a Attempt at its
Summit.
From Here the Top of The Peak is still a along ways off. IT would
Probably take me a good 2 Hours to summit. NOT going to try that today.
And in the last Picture we see another Truck down there. Soon I will be out
of Sight of that Switch-Back-Road.
Continuing on up the Granit-Road. Visibility is getting worse thanks to the
Fog/Low Clouds.
Prescott-Park. Suddently comes into View. It just kind of Sneaks up on You.
As I get up here to the Park I suddenly Remember something I had seen up here
many Years ago. But I had forgotten about untill this time. We will see that.
and I will find something I had NOT known about here in Park.
The Top of Roxy-Ann is Now covered in Fog. I hope that goes away soon..
It is hard to tell now. But I'am on the North side of the Mountain.
The Parking lot down below where I Hope My Car is Still at.? Is on the
West side of the Mountain.
Here is The Plaque You will see as You enter the Park.
I'am sitting here in the Park at a Picnic-Table Looking at the Portable-Rest-Room
and another Yellow Gate. There is No Road on the Other side of this Gate. It
Really Makes no Sence that it is there.? In the Next Picture You can see behind me
a small Field. The Yellow Gate is being Blocked out by My Right Shoulder.
If You walk back to where the Field Ends and the Tree Line begins. You will as I did
many Years ago discover two Flights of Stairs going down about 10 feet into a Man-Made
area. That Area goes back into the Way-overgrown-wooded-area. I had only seen these
Stairs from the Field Area. I never exsplored it before. Untill today.
As I began to walk over to the Stairs to Exsplore I of Course started my Video
Camara to Document this. But failed to get any Pictures untill later on.
I discovered an Entire Building back there in the Dence overgrown forrest area.
During the filming of this little Journey of Mine down in that Overgrown area
I got a bit Excited at what I found. I didnt know what It was at that time.

This is the Building I Found on the other-side of the Over-Grown-Area. I took
all the Next 12 or so Pictures out of the Correct Order I wanted to be taking them in..
Oh Well. I Guess It doesn't Matter. This Building is Evidently the Park Rest-Room Building.?
Or it Could be as I thought part of the Military Whatever.? I dont really Know.?
It is Very Easy to Miss not seeing this part of the Park area. I did for Many Years.
And I Guess there is more stuff around in this area. I dont know.? Mabe will look for all that
another Day.
Here is a little Washed out Road that goes back into this area from the South.
I see some Culvert-Pipe that Has been exsposed by the Erosion and Illegal 4x4 ing.
The Top of The Peak looks to be very close by. Its NOT. Still a long walk
to get to the Summit. A walk I'am not into today.. Where I'am standing at
now in this Picture. Is Directly on the Other side of the Peak if You where
down at the Parking-Lot standing Next to My Car. In other words. If I could
look Straight ahead. And look through The Mountain. I would see My Car way
down the Hill.
Looking back into the Park now from the brush to East. I see what Might have been
some sort of Structure in the Park in the Middle of those Trees.
Also I See a couple of Big Piles of Rocks That have been collected sometime in the past.
Now We finnally come to the 2-Flights of Stairs going down into The Ground.
I Dont know of Course if This was Put Here by the Military or Not.?
I dont know? It Does infact go back into the Forrest area that You see ahead.
And When You follow the Structure back there then You will discover the Building
I found. Perhapes this was Just part of the Park area.? Well Lets go take a look at
it.
It's Time to Leave Prescott-Park and start the long walk back down to the Car.
It was Fun. Had a Good time up here. As I start to Leave The Park I notice
Through The Trees the Fog has moved out and I get a Nice View OF Gray-Back-Mt
Way back there allmost to the California Border. Its Covered with Snow. The
Cone-Shaped-Peak to the Left of it is N-Bend. That is The Big Mountain that is
Across the Valley in Ruch. The Church is Just a Mile or so from the Foot of that
Mountain. Tallowbox Mountain is Just out of View behind the Trees. Lets
Zoom in on it.
Walking down the Granit-Road. Agine Between Fog Banks Floating across the Valley
below I find another good Shot this time of Mt Isabelle. It is the Tall Cone-Shaped
Mt. I will be attempting to Summit that Mt the Next Day. These Pictures are Not very
Clear. Sorry. I know its the Weather. It makes the Valley apear Smokey. Lets Zoom in
on Isabelle.
From the same Place I took the Last Isabelle Pictures I Also got a few of
the Top. Sometimes I can't seem to Make the Zoom work to good on this Camara.
I Continue walking down the Granit-Road on My way back down to The Yellow Gate.
Several 100 Feet before I Reach the Gate. Something Catches My Eye up on the Side
of The Hill.
I dont know what it is that I see.? I know what ever it is. It does NOT belong
there on the side of the Hill. I Zoom in on it. Now it starts to take shape.
As I climb the Bank and begine to walk towards it. I Realize it is a big
Chunk of Cement. As I begine to make my Way to it. I start to think I have
Re-Discovered My Cement Block I found so long ago.?
As I walk right up to this Cement-Block. It becomes Evident to Me that someone
had tryed to Hide this Cement-Block with all the Branches and Sticks laying around.
I Begin to wonder now if This is the Block I had discovered Many Years ago.?
I dont think so.? The Top of Roxy-Ann is Just to the Left top of this Picture.
The Granit-Road is Behind me about 100 feet down the Hill.
Ok here we have two close up Pictures of the Cement-Block. There is two Pipes
comming out of it. I dont Remember those from before. It allso has a one
corner with a Raised Round Opening. I dont Remember that. Part of the block
is Buired in the side of the Mountain. I can't see any Metal-Doors on the Top.
Most of the Top is covered with Dirt. Still I Poked around with My Walking Stick
and could not Detect any Doors under the Dirt. What is this???
Now Looking up the Hill from the Block. I see a Group of Unusual Looking
Oak Trees. I thought at first these Trees Might have been Planted like
that on Purpose. I dont know.? I see other groups like it in the area.
Now looking to the South/West. It is very hard to see. There is a small Road
that Leads to this Cement-Block. It's a very old Cat Road. It goes straight ahead
from here then turns off up the Hill And I lost it from there. It looks like
this Block was Built here during the W-W-2 Years.?
This is the Opening in the Cement-Block. I Dont Remember the Block from Years
ago Having this Opening.. A 100 Or so Feet down the Hill is the Granit-Road.
Looking down into the Hole. What ever this thing is. It's filled with Water.
I Can't Tell How deep it is.? And Then we have Several Views of the Block from
up the Hill aways. I'am Very convinced that This Cement-Block is NOT the one
I found back in The Late 1980's. The Location is about the Same Place. How ever
it is a BIG Mountain side. I will come back up here agine soon. Look some more..

I have walked way down the Road now. I'am now to the Place I stoped and took
my first Break earlyer today. Now I have stoped to clean dirt and rocks out
of My shoes. Dont know how that Happend.
Now I have Reached the Place way down the Road where I can see My Car parked.
Its still there. Great. And In this last Picture of the Day. I'am done. I'am tired.
I'am ready to go Home. Its been a Great Day up here on the Mountain. Thanks to GOD..
for Blessing me. Giveing Me the ability and Strenght to do this any time I wish.
