Friday. My old Freind Jr & I had Planned to go on this Hiking Trip for a few days now.
I had just been up here to the Big-Foot-Trap the week before. Jr had never seen it. So
We planned the Hike for Friday. And of Course it Rained that day. "Oh Well we said."
Sitting there in the Coffee Shop at The Church at 8:00 a.m. "Lets go anyway." So We did.
I didnt take the First Picture (this one) Untill we had walked a good Quarter Mile up the
trail. Here we are at the First (And Only I discovered) Wooden Bridge cossing the Creek.
(there used to be two Bridges) Last week I noticed a Huge old-Growth-Tree that had fallen right
here next to the Bridge. Mabe a 100 Years ago. And now it was allmost completely reclaimed
by the Forrest. Interesting. Jr was Exsplaining about this Tree while I was filming for
Youtube. First 4 Pictures.
In these Next 16 Pictures. Jr & I have progressed about another 1000 feet
up the Trail. We came upon a Blowdown area along the Trail. Jr just could not
resist climbing in there and cuting New Walking sticks. Good Idea I guess.
Sorry these Pictures are NOT very interesting and dont really show much.
We have now Reached the Trap. And Have NOT seen Big-Foot Yet. So we sat down
there and Ate our Lunch we packed up the Hill with Us. And decided to continue
up the Trail to see the Mine. The Mine was a Whole lot farther up the Trail
then I remembered it to be. Also the other Wooden Bridge over the Creek
farther up the Trail was gone.? I found where it had been. Dont know what
happend to it. Torn down. Or Wash away.?
The Remaining 15 Pictures are taken at the Mine. It is atleast a Half-Mile
farther up the Trail from the Trap. And the Trail is very steep. We climbed
a lot in Elevation in a short time it seemed like. The Mine is right along
the Trail. You can NOT miss it. The Cabin down below near the Big-Foot-Trap was
built by who ever was working the Mine a 100 Or so Years ago. Jr climbed into The Mine
and found lots of old Bottles and things like that. IF it did go back very far
it must have caved-in. Who Knows. If that did happen mabe the Miners are still in
there. In a few of the Pictures the Flash kept going off on my Camera which
Caused a Basketball sized spot to Apear on the Picture.
