Since the Weather was going to be nice and Sunny for a few days. And I dont
have a Job to go to. I thought I would drive up to Applegate Lake after
the Morning Worship Service. It was about a 18 Mile drive from the Church.
Had planned to spend at least a few Hours walking around.
It was very cold. And windy at least in the first two Places I stoped to
take Pictures. These First 5 Pictures are taken at the first place I stoped
at. The Spill-way at the Dam.
The Next 9 pictures are taken from out on the Tower. Agine it was very windy
and Cold out there. The Snow-Caps You can see are in California. I'am not
Positive but I'am sure they are Part of The Red-Buttes.? I have been all the
Way back there to them many Years before. Also You will notice the Water level is
way down below where it should be. That is Normal for this time Year I Guess.
It should start to fill up now that Spring is on the way.? But I dont know.?
Not much snow in the Mt's this Year. Everytime I come up here to the Dam area
and the water level is low like You see here. It allways reminds me of the
early 1980's I Remember back then A Dead Body was found up here in the lake that
had been Purposely Weighted down and then thrown over the Railing. And when the
Water level had droped down like you see now. The Body became visible. wow
Its hard to beleve anything like that could happen in such a Beautifull Place.
But it does. We all know that. I dont know if that Murder was ever solved.
In the Next three Pictures I have driven up the Road about a Half Mile to
the Hart-tish-Park area. That is the Park that has the Nice Beach area and
Green Grass. (summer only) My Car is parked out front of the Locked Gate.
Also Just about 300 Feet to the Left of My Car on the other side of the
Road is the Trail Head to The-Big-Foot-Trap. Tomarrow I will take a Hike
up there with the Camera.
These are the Last 14 Pictures I took this day. They are all of Hart-tish-park.
I spent a lot of time down there walking around. Site-Seeing. And I didnt even
Get over to the Boat-Ramp area. Most of these Pictures are taken at the best
over look area of the Park. You will notice in 2 of the Pictures what looks
like a Road below where the High water Level should be. That is the Original
road that took you into California. We could see Part of that from the Tower
down at the Dam. The Original Road now under water. will follow the bottom of the lake
and come out near Seattle-Bar. Also there was a whole town farther to the South.
(now under-water) The Town of Copper Oregon. Tomarrow after visiting The-big-Foot-Trap
We will go visit Seattle Bar and the area that used to be Copper.
During this trip down to the Nice over-look-Area. I was sitting there Resting
Enjoying the View. Made a Video there for youtube. I thought I needed to put new
Batterys in the Camera. No. didnt need to. I had brought the New batterys with me.
and what did I do.? I left the entire Package of New batterys an 8 pack sitting there
on the Rock wall. Walked right off and left them there. If you watch the video I made
down there as you see me begine to walk away from the over look you will catch a Quick
Glimse of The Package of Batterys still sitting there. But I didnt remember untill I
watched the Video Yesterday for the first time. Oh well. To late now.
When I had to go buy More batterys the Next day I wondered what was up with that.?
