1987
The Next Three Pictures are taken at my House on West 8th street. That is
the West 8th Street Fire Department on the other side of my Car.
Its Spring time now. 1987 And it is Time for my Old Chevelle to get
Its long awaited Paint Job. In The last Picture here you will see. I
Have removed some of the Chrome. Side Mirror, Embleems, What not.
to make it a little easier to Paint. I would not Have my Chevelle for
the Next week while it was in the shop.
Finnally. The Paint Job for My little Baby. Oh it came out so Nice. I was
Afraid to Drive it that first time. So the first Trip with the Newly
painted Heavy Chevy was to my parents House in Jacksonville.
On this Day. Something was going on up at Britt. So there was a Unusual
amount of Cars in the parking lot in front of the House. The Indy
Pace Car sitting to the Right of my Car. Belonged to My sister inlaw
Tonya. I dont think they had it very long. Anyway. My Chevy was looking
Pretty good. The SS Strips down the Hood & Trunk have not been done Yet.
And I would soon add the Wheel Well Moldings. It was looking good.
Later on in the Year. I would replace the Baby-Moon Chrome Wheels
With SS Cragar Wheels. And Very Exspensive Dunlop GT Qualifiers. 50
Series. They really made the Car. I thought.
I dont Remember what I was doing in this Picture. I had at some point
added under the Hood lights. And I dont see them in the Picture. So
Mabe that is what I was working on. Or more likely I had just Detailed
The Engine compartment. And it was time for a Picture.?
The Next 4 Pictures are part of a Photo-shoot I planned in Advance. The
Paint is all done. Wheel Wells Moldings are done. And Black Super Sport Strips
have been added. I had arranged for a Very Beautifull Girl To pose with the
Car here. But She could not make it at the last Minute. And I'am kind of
Glad it worked out that way. The Place of the Pictures is Near Howard Prairie
Lake. A very Nice Background.
About a Year later I would come back here to this very spot to do another
Photo-shoot. That time with the New Cragar Wheels on the Car. I think the
Second Photo-Shoot came out Better.
At Mom and Dad's House. I dont remember who was taking the Picture.
Man... Was I ever Really that Skinny.?
My Brother Rod and I whent for a Hike up on Mt isabelle. That is up forrest
Creek Road. Very Near where Mom Grew up. I dont know if it is still Accessible.
Rod must be on the top here. While I'am down below doing I dont know what.?
I took a little day trip with a good Freind I had met in the Resturant
Bussiness. He told me about this little
Resturant He likes to go to in Cresent City Calif. The Place is down
on citizens Dock. Called Beacon Burger. Funny. We had a big laught.
It was just funny. That is Me in the Phone Booth.
Roger was really looking forward to Eating there that day. it was
very disapointing to have driven all that way and then get there.
And the Place is CLOSED. As you see the Sign in the Window. So what
Do we do.? We go to Burger-King and get togo food and bring it there
and Eat. And while we were sitting there Eating like you see me doing
in the Picture. People would drive up thinking the Place was open. It was
Funny. I lost contact with Roger in the Early 90's. He moved out of State.
And apparently has Passed away according to His High School Web Page.
RIP Roger...
The Next two Pictures are of My sister Christy's First Wedding Reception.
It was Heald in my Back Yard. Lloyd & Christy's Marrage didnt last long.
My self. My Two Brothers and Lloyd got very Intoxicated this day. At
10:00 a.m. in the Morning. The only Reason I show these two Photos.
It is the last Pictures of my Dad. before He got sick with Cancer.
Infact He Probably Has Cancer at this Point but it simply has not
shown its self yet. My Dad is at the very far Right in the Yellow shirt
in both Pictures. The Baby He is Holding is my Niece Kimberly.
I found another Picture of My Dad at the Wedding..
Here My Brother Rod and I are out 4-Wheeling. This is Jackson-Gap. Near
the Calif Border. And Very near Dutchmans Peak Lookout. The Elevation Here is
About 7.400 FT. It is summer time In Medford.
These Next Three Pictures Could be from 1986? Fred and Ginger are in town
And we are camping. I think this is "Howard Praire"? I know my Dads last
Camping Trip was Just before He got sick. And I'am sure that Was
Lost-Creek-Lake.
The Next 3 Photos are right after I had The Heavy-Chevy Painted. We are at
Mom & Dads House. The Childrens Festival is going on up at Britt. My Sister
is Holding our Niece Kimberly. (Kimberly is a Mom Now. in 2009)
Kimberly's Mom Tonya & My Mom under the Tarp. And who is that Dog.?
Roger & I had taken a Trip to the coast. That is when the Beacon-Burger
Thing happend. Remember.? And sometime during the trip He took a Picture of
Me standing atop some sort of Place. Probably Brookings area. And the final
Picture is Roger standing at the front of Battery Point Light House.
RIP Roger. My old Freind...
Roger & I had climbed to the top of MT Asland a few times. It was not to
difficult. And easly accesible. That must be where this Picture was taken.
Here we are down in California. He wanted to drive up on Mt Shasta. I didnt
Know there was a Road that whent way up there. We didnt get to find out how
far it whent. It was suddently Blocked with snow. So I Turned the Car around
and Parked there. In this last Picture. We have driven all the way down to
Lake Shasta. Or Shastina.? I dont know.? Its the Big lake just before you get
into Redding California. Anyway we are here at the Dam. You can see Mt Shasta
Behind Roger there..
